The body of Christ uniting across America for a National

Our Story

RESPONSE: A National 3-DAY FAST started as a local 40-Day citywide fast with over 40 participating ministries and affiliations in Bridgeport Connecticut, on April 19, 2020. The 40-Day fast quickly spread within the Northeast and the New York Tri-State area, including NYC, Western NY, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. Within two weeks of its onset, the 40-Day fast turned into a call for a National 3-DAY FAST with representatives joining from 30 different states across the country.

We are Believers from many different backgrounds, races, ethnicities and denominations, coming together from around the nation with this in common: We all love JESUS and we love our nation.

We have no celebratory names to lift up, just a raw desperation to see our land healed and the CHURCH restored.

TOGETHER, with one voice on our knees in repentance, we seek the RESPONSE of God to our cry for the forgiveness of our sins, for the REMOVAL of the COVID-19 plague and for the healing of our land.

Our Vision

Our vision is to continue to stoke the flames of an ongoing revival and spiritual awakening in Bridgeport through uniting and equipping 50+ churches to engage in non-stop 24/7 prayer.

In the words of J. Edwin Orr, “No great spiritual awakening has begun (or been sustained) anywhere in the world apart from united prayer.”

Our Beliefs*

We affirm the Lausanne Covenant and the Apostles’ Creed, the oldest statement of faith of the Christian church: “I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.” With regard to all other doctrines, we adopt this approach: “In essentials unity, in non-essentials liberty, in all things charity.”

These are the values that define our culture and shape our movement:

  • Christ-centered
  • Bible-saturated
  • Love-motivated
  • Discipleship-driven
  • Local church-based
